Did you know that with MPA Tools, you can generate an SCCM Hardware Inventory Report in just two clicks—without needing any SQL queries or PowerShell scripting?

This is by far the easiest way to create detailed SCCM reports, export them to CSV, or open them directly in Excel for further analysis. But that’s not all! You can even enrich your reports with additional data from Active Directory and Intune, giving you a complete picture of your environment. Sounds interesting? Let’s dive in!

Reporting in SCCM Has Never Been This Easy

If you’ve ever struggled with SCCM’s built-in report builder, you’re not alone—I’ve spent countless hours banging my head on the keyboard, trying to make it work. It’s tedious, complex, and often frustrating.

But with MPA Tools, you can say goodbye to the headaches. Creating a hardware inventory report is as simple as selecting a computer and clicking a button. Here’s how it works:

1. Select and Display one or multiple computers in MPA Tools.

- You can use a custom list, or select computers from an OU, SCCM Collection, or Azure AD security group.

2. Generate a Report Instantly

- To check hardware inventory details for a specific computer, navigate to the SCCM Properties page and click Hardware Inventory. That’s it—your report is ready!

MPA Tools makes SCCM reporting fast, effortless, and accessible to anyone—no advanced skills required.

In the Hardware Inventory space, simply check the classes you want to add to your report and run it.

Make sure you check that HW has been previously collected and is not outdated!

How to create a custom SCCM report based on hardware inventory on multiple computers?

With MPA Tools, it is quite easy!

Simply Ping / Display multiple computers from the list of your preferred source.

Go to the ACTIONS tab and select the Computer Properties blade.

In the Computer Properties action blade, you have multiple common computer properties that you can choose from—for example, CPU, RAM, Model, Serial Number, Etc.

Select the computer properties you would like on your report and click Add to a Sequence (so you can add additional actions). Note: Run Now to display the Information without sequencing.

MPA Tools first connects to a remote computer to gather the current data. If the remote computer is inaccessible, MPA Tools will connect to the SCCM server to collect the requested Information. You could use the “Load Properties from SCCM" option to skip connecting to remote computers and get data straight from SCCM (This could be the fastest choice).

TIP: Always check the Last Hardware Inventory Date on the SCCM client (this Information is displayed in the Action Log - Action Column). Hardware Inventory could be old or missing completely! If you are missing data in SCCM, you can still try and connect to the remote computer to collect the data. Just highlight the computer and rerun the task.
