User acct prompt when accessing System Drive or Windows Folder

I am loading MyPingApp with a domain account with administrative rights to the domain PCs. When I attempt to open a PC’s System or Windows directory, I am prompted to enter the same administrative credentials I used to launch MyPingApp. Is this by design? This can be tough if accessing multiple system drives.

James are you:
1. running My Ping App as a different user?
2. if you just type in the explorer directly \computernamec$ does it prompt for credentials as well?
3. when you prompted and you re-enter same user name and password are you then allowed to go in?

Yes, running My Ping App as a different user (elevated) than what the PC is logged in as.
If I go to \38145-ADMc$, I am prompted for credentials
Yes, I am allowed in with the elevated credentials (same credentials used to launch My Ping App)

try this…
To allow explorer to be launched as different user perform following steps:
1. Start the Registry Editor as an Administrative User.
2.Navigate to, take ownership of, and grant yourself Full Control permission to the key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\{CDCBCFCA-3CDC-436f-A4E2-0E02075250C2}
3.Rename the value RunAs to _RunAs.
